how much does a course cost?

Prices are in euros. Teaching hours are 45 minutes long. For a price in your currency, contact info@wessex-study.co.uk.

You need to decide:

  • do I want to study alone or with 1 or 2 friends or colleagues?
  • do I want to take 20 or 28 teaching hours a week?
  • do I want a host family where I share a bathroom or one where I have a private bathroom? Do I want to take the course only, with no accommodation?

Here are the prices for all options. The sums in (brackets) are the price for each student studying together:

We can often offer discounts on these euro prices, especially for students studying for more than one week. Please e-mail us with details of your wishes. You will then receive a price quote, usually on the same day.

The following are included in the total price paid by the student:

  • Collection and return to your destination in Exeter.
  • Collection and return to the host family at the start and finish of each working day.
  • Accommodation, breakfast, light lunch and cooked evening meal every day.
  • A full-day excursion every week.
  • Tuition for the chosen number of hours.
  • All teaching material.
  • Loan of CD-Roms, DVDs (with player) and books for the time you are in Exeter.
  • Copying of material onto your USB memory stick for use back home, if you would like this.

The following are not included in the price:

Entry fees to museums and stately homes, and the cost of tourist transport (boats, steam trains, museum trams) on the day of the excursion.

Online  tuition  in  lessons  of  45 minutes at €21 is possible, a service both for ex-students as well as students who, for one reason or another, cannot follow face-to-face lessons. You will need:

- a videocam

- a microphone and headphones

- to sign up to msn Messenger (free)tuition in your company or school

It  is  sometimes  more  convenient  for  a  company  to run  a short intensive course in company buildings than to send employees to the UK. We would be pleased to organise such a course for you at a competitive price.

For language schools we are also able to organise workshops on teaching methodology for your staff.

We usually only accept adult students (or families)  who would like to follow a 1:1 or very small group course. If you  would  like  to enrol  a child,  or wish  to study  in a language school class in Devon or abroad, please contact us or go to the webpage links.
